Artist Statement: Possibly the most loved chapter of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, Chapter 34, Mr Darcy's impromptu marriage proposal to Elizabeth Bennet.

I've taken part of Chapter 34 featuring Mr Darcy's speech and Elizabeth's reaction from a 1853 edition of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice and finished it in elegant and timeless black. The words pop from the beautiful patina of brass underneath the artwork. This new design to my Jane Austen range will be just like having the Pride and Prejudice book always with you ! I'm ecstatic and proud to say you can now find my literary brass cuffs at Jane Austen's House Museum in Hampshire, England.

The brass cuff measures 1.5" tall and 5.5" round with an opening of 1.5", easily adjustable by using slight pressure once on your wrist. The brass (an alloy of zinc and copper) ages beautifully and uniquely; it will change patina over time and this is completely natural. The artwork I use is slightly translucent and the patterns you see are from the patina of the brass underneath. All protected under a sealant for extra durability but I would advise NOT to go rushing into the sea whilst wearing it or similar interactions with water.

This piece is handmade in England, United Kingdom so please allow 3-5 days before it can be shipped....things have to dry !

Arrives wrapped in non-tarnish tissue paper, gift boxed and tied with organza ribbon, completely gorgeous for gift-giving.

Well, I've had a bit of a break but Xmas is coming, the geese are getting fat and the presents ....so hard to find, aren't they? I hope that Oohsome can provide some inspiration for you all.

The bracelet pictured above is something that I whipped up last week. About 65 safety pins, with 4mm beads in olive, deep purple, brass, soft violet and sea green. I had so much fun making this one that I've decided to do a few more in other colour combinations. One tip that I can give you, instead of superglueing the pins closed, I pinched them shut after doing the threading. They're secure, and there's no fiddling around with fast setting glue.

I made a chain by wire-wrapping AAA grade smooth round garnet gemstones with sterling silver wire, and created a focal drop with a giant (18mm) black onyx teardrop. The onyx is topped with a wonderfully detailed sterling silver beadcap and Bali silver star cap.

The necklace chain measures a bit over 18 inches (including the clasp). The lobster clasp is sterling silver and attaches to a closed sterling silver ring.

It depicts a cat watching birds through a window as they twitter on the branches of a tree. Wear it facing one way and you are looking into the window, turn it around and you are looking out. As you move around the piece your view through the window changes, giving it an incredible sense of depth despite the fact that it is made from flat pieces.

Artist Statement: These earrings are made using deep topaz brown glass colored beads. There are also brass beads and bead caps, and dark topaz polished beads.

The ear wires are Vintaj natural brass and are nickel free.

The entire earring is a little over 1 1/2 inches long, from top of ear wire to bottom of the dangle. The ear wires pictured are 1 inch from top to end of back curve and the dangle is 7/8 inch from top to bottom.

The last picture shows four different styles of ear wires available. One is a nickel free brass colored lever back and the other three are Vintaj nickel free brass.

These earrings, as well as all my jewelery, come packaged in a brand new jewelry box tied up with ribbon to keep it safe in its travels.

The picture is covered with a clear laminate then glued onto a piece of thin wood. That is glued down and then bead embroidered with the floral stitched on top of that. It is backed with a black leather and an edging is stitched to finish.

Artist Statement: A painting in wool, framed in birch, to pin on your lapel. This piece celebrates that flower that kids love and groundskeepers despise...the dandelion. It's a marriage of textural fiber and bark, and perfect for the nature-lover in you.

I've made felt by wet-felting wool roving in a gradient of colors; blue, green, and yellow, adorned it with a french knot dandelion gone to seed(notice the tiny puffs floating away?) and fitted it into a frame I made of birch bark. The sides have been left natural and the soft white of the bark is a nice compliment to the color it holds.

I've finished the back with a piece of black felt that I created from wool garments. A pinback has been sewn securely beneath the backing.

This piece is about 1.75" wide and is about .5" deep.

Artist Statement: A surprise inside!

I designed the inside of these rings to look as beautiful as the outside, and the contrast of the polished inside against the matte outside gives these rings a one-of-a-kind look. The subtle details are what make this wedding band set truly special.

Inside color: polished anodized bronze color
Outside color: matte gray

Titanium is naturally hypo-allergenic, light, and very comfortable to wear. To further increase comfort, I use a grinding method on the inside edges of the ring, which creates a bevel that is round not angular.

The rings pictured are 6 mm wide; however, they can be made wider, up to 10 mm, or narrower down to 3 mm, if desired.

I make these rings one at a time, by hand. Please see shop announcements for current wait time.

Also please specify your sizing when purchasing. I can make any size up to 15. Please note that titanium can not be re-sized, so take care when measuring and providing your sizing information.

Artist Statement: This listing is for 2 candle holders cut from reclaimed olde growth pine. The wood was once a floor joist from a 19th century Philadelphia house and bares marks betraying its past life. The pieces have been sanded and finished with 100 percent pure tung oil. They have been decoupaged with handpicked images from a Victorian Animal Bible from the 1800s. These images have been glued onto the wood with PH neutral adhesive and sealed with an acrylic sealer. Peg and Awl has been stamped into the bottom of each candle holder.

The 2 candles are 8in x 2in x 2in.

Each block includes 1 hand poured pure beeswax tea light candle.

Artist Statement: A delicate glimmer of blue light hanging on a sterling silver chain.

First I felt the wool using hot water and soap. After leaving it to dry overnight, I embroider it with silver and contrasting cerulean thread, then attach it to sterling silver components, including a clasp I have hand forged and hammered.

The bead is attached to the chain itself, so the clasp will not slide around on your neck. It is also embroidered on both sides in case it flips over.

The bead measures approximately 3/4" (18mm) in diameter, and the chain is 22" (175mm) around.

Artist Statement: My name is Amie Louise Plante. I am a jewelry artist with 10 years experience in making museum quality, custom, one-of-a-kind, handmade jewelry.

In this listing I will create for you a personalized one-of-a-kind hair ornament for your special event. The hair comb pictured is made from silver, pearls and amethyst. Every element is fabricated by hand from sheet metal and wire. No two are alike. This one was directly inspired by the theme of ginko leaves as a symbol of health, happiness and good fortune.

The total height of this design is 4.5 inches. It can be inserted into a hairstyle the back of the head or on the side and it will curve and nestle around the head.

The 3 other pictures are examples of my design and fabrication processes. First, I make many elements to be incorporated into the final design, then I play with the pieces until I find a nice composition for them. Then I photoshop some new elements to try them out. Then once I get something I like, I make the next group of pieces. These pieces are in the photoshop process.

Patinas and finishes are semi-permanent and may change slightly over time and with regular use- all patinas may brighten at various contact points, black and copper/multi patinas may darken, especially in recessed areas. Artist Statement: I adore any Matthew Williamson creation. One of his famous quotes involve saying that he has never met a colour he did not like. I have never met a colour I did not like. Wow - we have something in common.

Peacock feathers represent some of my favourite colours in nature. Coupled with metres (okay not really, but you get the gist) of chain, this is one statement necklace that will be bound to be the conversation piece at any event.

Fifteen small real peacock feathers are carefully suspended from oxidised dark silver chain. Due to the nature of peacock feathers (ie: each one is a tad different), and because your piece will be made to order, you will receive a very similar necklace but not the one in the photo.

I guarantee though that I only pick the nicest, unspoilt feathers for my creations.

From my Racing Lace collection these iridescent blue and gold earrings create a sweeping shape to frame your face. They are an instant way to add colour to your favourite outfit whether it is a shirt and jeans or a classic piece of evening wear.

Made from anodised (electrically coloured) titanium, photograph and resin these earrings are fantastically light and easy to wear.

In this collection I use a unique and self-developed photo-inlay technique. I create a jewel from a photograph that is then lacquered into coloured titanium. The end effect is a little like a butterfly's wing.

These earrings come in a hand made vintage kimono fabric pouch.

Artist Statement: My neo victorian frock coat is adorned with a burn out velvet hemline, embossed green velvet accents and tassels to remind you where your butt is. The buttons are stamped metal on wood. I think they come from India. The green appliques are fabric from my dear departed grandmother who made hats for Blackwell in the fifties. She was a huge influence on my choice of careers. I ended up with a lot of her trim and am slowly incorporating it into my work.

The size on this coat is a small long. The waist is 26 inches and can expand out a little. Its got long arms. Good for a beanpole type of gal.

The front is very open and looks spectacular with a corset underneath. This coat is a one of a kind.

Pomegranate Pendant by Winged Lion

Artist Statement: This beautiful pendant was designed by me (Natalia Moroz) and crafted by the jewelry designer Sergey Zhiboedov (my husband). For ages, pomegranates have symbolized love, fertility, and abundance. The pendant is shaped as a half of a ripe pomegranate, and its left side is set with 16 garnet cabochons (3x5 mm each). On the right side of the pendant, there is a relief of a naked woman. The back of the pendant is textured to imitate the rough pomegranate skin. The pendant is made of sterling silver and has been oxidized to bring out the details. The pendant is stamped with the jeweler's logo (SZ) and 925 (silver)
The pendant is 1.25" (31 mm) wide, 1.5"(37 mm) high, and 0.4"(10 mm) deep. Wide bail (chain opening). The chain is not included.

Artist Statement: These little seed beads are a bit larger than an actual pomegranate seed. They are a mix of dark pink, tranparent red and maroon glass colors and you will recieve a blend of all three colors.

Hand-shaped and formed by me over a torch, they are wound on a 1/16" mandrel and have a 1.5mm hole. They are fully annealed in my kiln and completely cleaned with a diamond reamer by me!

Artist Statement: Afternoon tea is a light meal typically eaten between 3 pm and 5 pm. The custom of drinking tea originated in England when Catherine of Braganza married Charles II in 1661 and brought the practice of drinking tea in the afternoon with her from Portugal.

Skirt was handmade from 6 different fabrics that include: red cotton with damask print, red cotton with black lace on it, black cotton, black/red/white/grey striped cotton, cotton with "teatime" print, black cotton with red floral design. It was embellished with velvet and grosgrain ribbons and black tulle.
Zips at the back with an invisible zipper.

Artist Statement: This will definitely bright up this winter!

Ñuke means "mother" in mapudungun, which is the language of Mapuche, the native people of southern Chile and Argentina. My mother got this colorful yarn for me, so I couldn't refuse to make a scarf with it. I have to say I really like the result!

This scarf has 50 strands, all of them are sheep wool. It has the magenta and the mustard-golden strands. And then, it has a thick yarn in magenta, yellow, green and everything in between. It is really fun!

This accessory is a must-have for this winter, and with its versatility you will certainly use it for many years.

It has a ring on one side, which allows to play with it and use it in different ways: a simple knot, two-sided knot, necklace, double wrap for a neckwarmer... One thing is certain: you'll always get compliments and make heads turn when you are wearing it!

Faded Denim Flower in a Cup by Teka and Zoe

Artist Statement: Each "cup" is hand formed out of copper. Then numerous layers are of powdered glass are fired to form the color of the cup. Layers of various shades of blue, then treated to have a matte finish. In the center of a cup rests a silver flower. All hanging from handcrafted sterling silver ear wires that have been oxidized. Flower center my vary.

Enameling is fusing glass to metal, in this case copper. Each piece is fired multiple times including the back to 1500 degrees.

Artist Statement: I was inspired to create this necklace by Victorian Gothic images and stories like "The Picture of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde.

This handsome Sterling Silver boy will always maintain his beauty but still, he ended up as a hunting trophy. One could read all kinds of things into that...

This pendant was cast in sterling silver after I created a wax model of the head and trophy board. The Sterling Silver Belcher chain has two "Albert clasps", like on antique watch chains, which attach to the pendant. The chain can be taken off and clipped onto other pieces or worn by itself.

This piece is hollow but still has a good weight to it. The pendant and necklace have been oxidised and polished to give them an antique look.

This is one of my favourite pieces. It is a real statement and can be worn by men and women.

Artist statement: From my "Nocturnal" Collection. I Designed the "Keeper Gargoyle" for any Goth, Rebel or Rock Star with that Darker Mystical Style.

MY INFLUENCE... THE GARGOYLE! In the Middle ages, Evil represented the worst enemy of the Christian religion. Therefore, it was imperative to repel "Evil" from its Holy churches. Enter the GARGOYLE... whose duty was to repel all evil spirits and demonic beings, causing them to flee. They were known as the the "Keepers of Good"! Their horrific expressions were visible to remind heretics, non Christians, and God’s enemies that divine protection was enforced on the Holy structures that they were attempting to approach. It was believed that a gargoyle would holler when evil wizards, magicians or demons approached, whether they were visible or invisible. In my opinion, I consider the Gargoyle synonymous to a Spiritual watch dog... and here he is!

Artist Statement: This little cutie is a new take on an old favourite. This time the bird pendant is cast in sterling silver and has been hand finished with a matte, scratch brush texture.

The oversized bird charm hangs from a 55cm sterling silver belcher chain, and sits just above the boobs on most ladies. Looks great layered with a shorter piece.

So super sweet and precious!
