Art Nouveau Floral Brooch by Beaded Art Jewelry

Artist Statement:  This is the first of a series of pieces I'm making using vintage pictures and art of women to create brooches and necklaces.

The picture is covered with a clear laminate then glued onto a piece of thin wood. That is glued down and then bead embroidered with the floral stitched on top of that. It is backed with a black leather and an edging is stitched to finish.

This piece measures 2 1/4" long and 2" at the widest.

I made it by hand and glued in a huge (2 inches diameter) wooden circle with little window.

Wear it on light/dark background, it looks fabulous both ways!!!!

Dandelion Wishes

Artist Statement:  A painting in wool, framed in birch, to pin on your lapel. This piece celebrates that flower that kids love and groundskeepers despise...the dandelion. It's a marriage of textural fiber and bark, and perfect for the nature-lover in you.

I've made felt by wet-felting wool roving in a gradient of colors; blue, green, and yellow, adorned it with a french knot dandelion gone to seed(notice the tiny puffs floating away?) and fitted it into a frame I made of birch bark. The sides have been left natural and the soft white of the bark is a nice compliment to the color it holds.

I've finished the back with a piece of black felt that I created from wool garments. A pinback has been sewn securely beneath the backing.

This piece is about 1.75" wide and is about .5" deep.

Artist Statement:  A surprise inside!

I designed the inside of these rings to look as beautiful as the outside, and the contrast of the polished inside against the matte outside gives these rings a one-of-a-kind look. The subtle details are what make this wedding band set truly special.

Inside color: polished anodized bronze color
Outside color: matte gray

Titanium is naturally hypo-allergenic, light, and very comfortable to wear. To further increase comfort, I use a grinding method on the inside edges of the ring, which creates a bevel that is round not angular.

The rings pictured are 6 mm wide; however, they can be made wider, up to 10 mm, or narrower down to 3 mm, if desired.

I make these rings one at a time, by hand. Please see shop announcements for current wait time.

Also please specify your sizing when purchasing. I can make any size up to 15. Please note that titanium can not be re-sized, so take care when measuring and providing your sizing information.

Every ring will be delivered to you in a tasteful, gift-ready, and reusable tin.

Artist Statement:  is an archival quality print of one of my paintings on wood. I found this beautiful, vintage, gold metal frame (with glass) and thought they were a perfect match (I actually almost kept this frame. It's one of the loveliest I've ever found). The print is mounted on an off-white board so it "floats" within the frame. I've signed, titled and dated it just under the print.

This piece is ready to be displayed as it has a fold out foot on the back (which is covered in dark burgundy velvet) so it can stand on its own.

A Mysterious Hand

Artist Statement:  This listing is for 2 candle holders cut from reclaimed olde growth pine. The wood was once a floor joist from a 19th century Philadelphia house and bares marks betraying its past life. The pieces have been sanded and finished with 100 percent pure tung oil. They have been decoupaged with handpicked images from a Victorian Animal Bible from the 1800s. These images have been glued onto the wood with PH neutral adhesive and sealed with an acrylic sealer. Peg and Awl has been stamped into the bottom of each candle holder.

The 2 candles are 8in x 2in x 2in.

Each block includes 1 hand poured pure beeswax tea light candle.

Artist Statement:  A delicate glimmer of blue light hanging on a sterling silver chain.

First I felt the wool using hot water and soap. After leaving it to dry overnight, I embroider it with silver and contrasting cerulean thread, then attach it to sterling silver components, including a clasp I have hand forged and hammered.

The bead is attached to the chain itself, so the clasp will not slide around on your neck. It is also embroidered on both sides in case it flips over.

The bead measures approximately 3/4" (18mm) in diameter, and the chain is 22" (175mm) around.

Artist Statement:  This beautiful scarf was made with the traditional wet Nuno felting technique .

I used the combination of three shades of 100% Merino soft wool (Bitter Chocolate , Cinnamon Red and Ecru / Off White ) and Sari Silk to create the dramatic effect . A silk chiffon I used as a base.

The scarf looks great from both sides.It has elegance and comfort, easy to match and the perfect accent piece to go with your favorite winter or spring coat.

Wrap yourself in luxurious Merino natural fiber! It has soft texture and will be your favorite accessory to wear all season long. The scarf is very warm . It is a great accessory for the cold season.
