Artist Statement: Although these elegant earrings are inspired by Formula 1 motor racing and Japanese kimono there is something unmistakably (even if unintentionally) Art Nouveau about them.
From my Racing Lace collection these iridescent blue and gold earrings create a sweeping shape to frame your face. They are an instant way to add colour to your favourite outfit whether it is a shirt and jeans or a classic piece of evening wear.
Made from anodised (electrically coloured) titanium, photograph and resin these earrings are fantastically light and easy to wear.
In this collection I use a unique and self-developed photo-inlay technique. I create a jewel from a photograph that is then lacquered into coloured titanium. The end effect is a little like a butterfly's wing.
These earrings come in a hand made vintage kimono fabric pouch.
Titanium ear wires are hypoallergenic.
