Lichen Pincushion

Artist Statement: The perfect compliment to the Moss Pincushion – a lichen pincushion!

This listing is for one pincushion (in any pictures with more than one pincushion, the listed pincushion is the one in the front of the rest).

This cute little pincushion has been needle-felted to look like lichen on a rock. These pincushions are lightweight because they are made of wool and will lift when you attempt to pull out a pin, so you can simply use a piece of Velcro to attach it to your craft table.

The pincushion has two layers: the gray “rock” and the little french knots that make up the lichen, this time in chartreuse. Ooh, and since I use undyed wool roving for the center of my pincushions, the retained lanolin helps lubricate your pins and needles!

I'm making these lichen pincushions in this gray and also in tan. The color of french knots will vary, but will be in keeping with the colors of natural lichen.

This pincushion is approx. 2 1/4 in. x 2 in. x 1 1/4 in. (5.75 cm. x 5 cm. x 3 cm.)
