Moroccan Bellydance Ballgown

Artist Statement: This costume consist of 3 pieces:
Underskirt, overskirt, and corset bodice.

The Underskirt is floor length pleated at the waist, royal blue heavy bridal satin (not very shiny, more matte). This skirt can be hemmed to your length if desired, current hem is 40 inches long. Skirt is adjustable, measures 33 inches and ties at the waist.

Overskirt ties in front and is made from this gorgeous tapestry fabric i found at a specialty fabric store. It is a reddish/ochre color, covered in matte gold sequins, and little blue appliques embroidered with gold elephants. The Overskirt is slightly shorter than the underskirt, in the german style, and pleated at the waist.

The bodice is of the same tapestry fabric, with a small tab in the front center, elizabethan style. The bodice is strapless, and straight accross the bust. This style would usually be worn over a chemise, but the model kept it, and so is not available. one can be made for $45 more. The bodice laces up in back through two part metal grommets, and is boned with spring steel. This bodice is highly adjustable, making this costume range in size from about an 8 to a 14.
